Tootsie Roll Drive 2008 It's that time of year again. On October 10th, 11th and 12th we will be working our most important project of the year, our annual Tootsie Roll Drive for the Mentally Challenged folks living at the Birdie Thornton Center in Athens. Brother Knights, we need every able-bodied Knight to sign up to hand out Tootsie Rolls and collect donations at our many donation locations throughout Athens on this most important Friday, Saturday and Sunday Columbus Day Weekend. You may sign up for as many shifts as you wish. It is a simple and rewarding experience and all you have to do is GIVE AWAY a Tootsie Roll to each customer and their children as they enter or exit the merchant locations that we have made arrangements with. If they wish to make a donation for this wonderful cause, we merely accept it and say "Thank You". This does not require high pressure sales experience. Soooooooooo PLEASE sign up for at least one time and location and reply back as soon as possible or you may sign up after Mass at church or contact one of us directly. This year we will be accepting donations at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Hometown Grocery, The Piggly Wigglys on both US 72 and US 31, CVS, Athens Beverage, and the ABC Store.
